The Right Moment Doesn't Wait

Family Travel, Lived Like Locals

We didn't take a vacation. In 2022, we spent a full year on the road — Scotland, Italy, Spain, England, and Mexico — with real 30-day stays anchoring the trip, not a rushed sprint through a country-a-day checklist.

Not resorts. Real neighborhoods, real grocery stores, real life — long enough each time for our family to stop being tourists and start being locals.

This is what worldschooling actually looks like in our house: less curriculum, more everyday life somewhere new.

Every father we talked to before we left said some version of the same thing: "You're doing the right thing. Don't put your career in front of these moments. I wish we'd done it."

We heard it so many times it stopped sounding like encouragement and started sounding like a warning.

Most people get a moment like that — and let it pass, staying comfortable, staying on schedule. We didn't. And once we didn't, we started noticing how many more moments like it were already happening around us.

Remember When — real stories from our trips: the people we met, the mistakes we made, what it actually cost.

Coming soon: The Remember When Collection — done-for-you itineraries so you don't have to plan from scratch.

Coming soon: Destination Curriculum — age-based learning packs (ages 4–11) built from real places we've lived, ready to use whether you're traveling there or not.
